Copart’s 3 Peaks Challenge raises £5k for Ben
Copart’s 3 Peaks Challenge has raised £5,000 for Ben. Over the course of one weekend in July, Team Copart tackled the three highest peaks in Scotland, England, and Wales: Ben Nevis (1,345m), Scafell Pike (978m) and Snowdon (1,085m).
The team took on the challenge to raise money for Ben, which they adopted as their company charity in 2015, as part of the Do It 4 Ben campaign.
Copart teammates and their families are very fortunate to have access to Ben’s services, so they were delighted to be able to give something back in appreciation of Ben’s ongoing support and help to bridge the gap caused by the cancellation of this years’ usual large scale Ben fundraising events.
Thanks to the generosity of donations from teammates, friends and families, and local businesses – Copart ended up smashing their original £1,000 target with a final fundraising total of £5,000!
Jane Pocock, MD of Copart UK & Ireland, said:
“I’m delighted that Copart was able to give something back to Ben, whose health and wellbeing services to our business and the wider automotive industry have been invaluable, especially during the challenges of the pandemic. Not only has this event been an incredible and unforgettable experience for our teammates who took part, but it also demonstrates the strength of our commitment to caring about good causes like Ben as part of our ongoing Copart Cares campaign.”
Matt Wigginton, Director of Partnerships, Engagement & Income at Ben, added:
“Copart Cares…it really does…and with every event you complete and every donation you make, you’re changing and, in some cases, saving lives of people in our automotive family. We couldn’t do what we do without you all. Thanks for all your support and huge congratulations to the team that took on the challenge.”
