Benathlon FAQs
How long do I have to complete the challenge?

The challenge runs for the duration of March.

How far is the challenge?

You should aim to cover a minimum of 100 miles in the month of March.

Do I need to train?

This challenge is perfect for anyone of any ability, so you don’t need to train for this challenge.

What exercises count?

Exercise of any type counts towards your mileage target.

What do I get out of it?

You will make sure that no one in the automotive industry, like your friends and colleagues, faces life’s toughest challenges alone.

It’s also a great opportunity to boost both your mental and physical health and presents you with a personal goal for your daily exercise.

Do I need to travel anywhere?

No, you can do your exercise anywhere, at home, at work, in the gym or the countryside.

Is there a deadline for registering?

As this event runs throughout March everyone taking part should be registered before the 29th February 2024.

Do you have any supplementary promotional materials?

If there is anything you are specifically keen for, then please drop us an email eventsteam@ben.org.uk

Can we track where we are with our company fundraising?

Unfortunately Enthuse does not yet have the capability to track each individual company. Please just ensure everyone includes their company details on the registration form and we can keep track of the company everyone is from.

Can my mates and family join in too?

Anyone can join this challenge.

How much is the registration fee?

We want as many people as possible to take part in Benathlon so there is no registration fee to take part.

How much do I need to fundraise, and will I get any support?

The fundraising target is £100 per person, promoting your daily activities on social media to show that you are taking part in this challenge and asking people to donate small amounts will quickly add to your target. Alternatively, you could look at selling unwanted items on eBay or Facebook Marketplace!

There is a downloadable fundraising toolkit to help and you can email the events team if you need further support on eventsteam@ben.org.uk

What happens if I do not raise enough?

There is no penalty for not reaching the fundraising target, but we encourage all participants to try as hard as they can to reach the £100 goal - it could fund a mental health assessment for a colleague in need. If you need additional help or ideas in reaching the target, then please get in touch with one of the team - eventsteam@ben.org.uk. We also recommend speaking to your employer to see if they will match your fundraising.

Can I take cash donations?

You can take cash donations, once you have collected them you can send us the money via bank transfer, and you can add this to your total as an offline donation.
