Now in its fourth year, Ben’s Summer Families Project is here to support families through the school holidays, helping to ease financial pressures and create opportunities for children and families to enjoy meaningful moments together.

If you're worried about how you'll manage the extra costs of the school holidays, we're here to help. We can provide practical assistance to help ease financial pressure and support your family's wellbeing during the summer break.

We know the summer holidays should be full of fun and spending quality time together - but for many families, they bring added pressure. Food costs rise with kids at home, activities, childcare and back-to-school shopping add another financial strain. If this sounds familiar, Ben’s summer holiday support is here for you.

Each year, we support many families who are struggling to make ends meet for all different kinds of reasons. In fact, money worries are one of the biggest reasons why people ask us for help. So, if you're feeling the pinch this summer, you're not alone - we're here to help.

Through this programme, we’re offering eligible automotive families help with:

Can you support a family this summer?

Since 2023, Ben has supported 80 adults and 111 children during the summer holidays, providing more than £22,000 to help with essential costs such as school uniforms, food, and family days out. Demand for this support continues to grow, with funding increasing from just over £1,700 in the first year to almost £15,000 last year!

No parent wants to choose between putting food on the table and buying school uniforms for the new term, yet many automotive families face these difficult decisions. Your donation can help relieve financial pressure, support families through the summer holidays, and ensure children have the opportunity to create happy memories.

Now in its fourth year, Ben’s summer families project will provide essentials for families and help them create happy memories throughout the school holidays. Since 2023, Ben has supported 80 adults and 111 children during the summer holiday period.

While summer is often a time for family fun, it can also bring additional financial pressures and stress for some. Rising food, energy and fuel costs, combined with added childcare expenses and back-to-school items such as uniforms, can place significant strain on a family’s household budgets. This is why Ben is reminding automotive families that support is available for anyone struggling with money worries, debt or urgent financial need this summer and beyond.

Through the summer families project, Ben will again support with a range of practical and emotional support, as well as financial assistance with items such as food, household bills and school uniforms. Ben will also provide opportunities for families to enjoy quality time together through days out and activities. Through the project, Ben has previously funded a variety of family days out, including trips to West Midlands Safari Park and Paultons Park, as well as activities such as bowling and football experiences.

We are delighted to be partnering with the BMTA Trust again this year, whose generous contribution of £3,000 towards activity costs.
