“I broke up with my partner which left me as a single parent of two boys. We had to move and my ex-partner stopped all financial support, so I was in a bit of a mess. I initially came to Ben for some help getting some furniture for our new place.
“When I contacted Ben’s Helpline, they were really calm and helpful. My Case Manager completed an assessment and, although I only asked for support with furniture, she also discussed other things I was struggling with financially and other areas in my life that I needed help with. She was a great support.
“Ben’s support really helped me at such a tough time. They sourced us some furniture and funded a month’s rent and partial rent after that, which was a great help as I was really struggling. Before I contacted Ben, I was borrowing money and racking up debt, so this support really helped reduce the amount of debt I was getting into.
“Things are looking more positive now. I’m due back at work soon and I’ve asked my employer to cut my hours to manage the childcare. I can’t thank Ben enough for providing what I needed at such a hard time in my life.”
