Automotive industry charity, Ben, today announces the appointment of two senior leaders as part of its continued commitment to supporting many more automotive workers and their families.

Ben has recently welcomed Luke Genevrier-Mallett as Director of Fundraising & Engagement and Chris Easton as Director of Charitable Impact.

Luke Genevrier-Mallett will be leading Ben’s fundraising, marketing, brand and engagement activity. He will be playing a central role in driving awareness and reach, income generation and building plans for long-term sustainability to enable the charity to support thousands more people across the automotive industry.

Luke is an experienced fundraising and marketing leader with over two decades of senior experience across the charity sector. He has held leadership roles at charities including Save the Children, the British Heart Foundation and Young Lives vs Cancer, as well as serving as CEO of a regional health charity. More recently, he has worked internationally as a consultant and interim executive, supporting charities across the UK, Europe, the US and Africa to deliver growth, transformation and organisational change.

Chris Easton will be leading Ben’s charitable impact, providing strategic direction and leadership across the charity’s support and specialist services. His role focuses on ensuring Ben continues to deliver high-quality health and wellbeing support to current and former automotive workers and their families, while driving continuous improvement and long-term impact.

Chris has extensive experience from across the NHS, social care and charity sector. He previously served as Head of Person-Centred Care at NHS England, focusing on embedding personalised approaches to care and supporting the development of innovative service models. He has since held senior leadership positions in strategy and transformation, including roles within the NHS and most recently as Director of Strategy and Impact at NHS Charities Together, the national charity for the NHS.

Rachel Clift, CEO of Ben, said: "I'm delighted to welcome Luke and Chris to Ben's senior leadership team at such a critical stage in our evolution. They both bring exceptional experience, inspiring leadership and a shared commitment to improving the lives of people in our automotive family.

“Luke's expertise in fundraising, marketing and engagement will help us raise Ben’s profile, build stronger partnerships and generate the sustainable income needed to reach and support even more automotive people. Chris's extensive experience across health, care and strategic transformation will strengthen our charitable services and ensure we continue delivering high-quality, person-centred support. Together, they will play a key role in shaping Ben's future and helping more automotive people live well, think well, feel well and work well."

Luke Genevrier-Mallett, Director of Fundraising & Engagement at Ben, said: “Ben has a remarkable story to tell and a community of partners across the automotive industry who are ready to help tell it. Ben is here for everyone who works, or has worked, in the sector and their families - which is around four million people across the UK. My role is to bring income generation, marketing and engagement into closer alignment and make the case to the automotive industry that investing in Ben is investing in its own people.”

Chris Easton, Director of Charitable Impact at Ben, said: “It’s a privilege to join Ben and work alongside colleagues, partners and stakeholders to shape the future of our charitable services. I look forward to building on the charity's outstanding work to ensure we continue evolving our services and making a meaningful difference to automotive people and their families."
