Breakout for Ben 2021 is a new virtual active challenge that will help you boost your physical and mental health, whilst raising vital funds so that, together, we can ensure no one in automotive faces life’s toughest challenges alone.
Thanks to your amazing support, we are now on the road to making up the £1 million shortfall we faced due to the pandemic. We can’t thank you enough for the £530,000 you have contributed so far, but we need your help to reach £1 million.
This event is free to join with a fundraising target of £50 per person, enough to fund a counselling session for someone in need of support just like Darrell…
“After years of fighting a battle and feeling so down and depressed, I can now look to the future. The support and help from Ben has meant a lot – there are no words I can use to express our sincere thanks for everything that Ben has done for us.” – Darrell, who battled with depression after giving up his job as a recovery truck driver to care for his son.
You can run, cycle or walk along our route taking in famous racing circuits across the UK, starting at Pembrey Circuit and finishing at Silverstone. With prizes up for grabs including the highest fundraiser and best social media posts, you’ll use the My Virtual Mission app to track your progress ensuring you don’t need to be physically with your team members to still feel part of something!
We recommend that people adhere to current restrictions for their area and we advise that they participate in the event within the guidelines and stay safe.
Each participant that achieves or exceeds the fundraising target will receive a medal after the event, and we will be running competitions throughout the 10 days of the event, with prizes up for grabs for:
- Highest individual fundraiser
- Highest team fundraiser
- Furthest in the first 24 hours
- Fastest individual on bike
- Fastest individual on foot
- Best team name
- Best fancy dress
- Best social media post
- First team to complete the challenge
To ensure it is a fair competition we ask that only 50% of the team take on the challenge by bike.
With twice as many people turning to Ben for mental health support compared to this time last year, the fundraising generated by events like this helps ensure we’re able to support everyone who turns to us for help.
Let’s join together for one last push. Get your trainers and bikes at the ready and join us on the Road to £1 Million in February 2021.
