We are dedicated care specialists, delivering professional, person-centred care that is tailored and applied to be specific to each individual’s unique needs within our residential homes. Whether someone is with us for a short spell of respite or rehabilitation, or comes to us for ongoing nursing, residential or dementia care we treat each individual with dignity, respect and kindness.  We believe good care should be life-enhancing for both our residents and their families.


Our care teams

We are passionate about the power of good care and our staff are all care professionals. Along with our Registered General Nurses and qualified physiotherapists, most of our carers are vocationally qualified, or working towards it.

Our Lynwood, Birch Hill and Town Thorns Care Centres all offer specialist, staged dementia care, which recognises that care needs change as the condition progresses and enables us to tailor our care to meet the unique needs of each individual.


Short stay care - respite and rehabilitation

If you have been discharged from hospital following an operation or illness and need time to convalesce or intensive rehabilitation, our dedicated staff will develop a tailored care plan and purposeful activities in order to promote wellbeing.

If you have been discharged from hospital following an operation or illness and need time to convalesce or intensive rehabilitation, our dedicated staff will develop a tailored care plan and purposeful activities in order to promote wellbeing. This may include working with our stroke and neuro specialists, physiotherapy, hydrotherapy (at Lynwood and Town Thorns), occupational therapy and nursing care, working in partnership with your GP, consultant and/or social services.


Care for young, physically disabled people

As well as providing short and long term care for the elderly and people with dementia, Ben also looks after younger, physically disabled people whose needs cannot be met at home.

As well as providing short and long term care for the elderly and people with dementia, Ben also looks after younger, physically disabled people whose needs cannot be met at home. Our residents (whose ages can range from 18 years upwards) may have been disabled from birth, because of a life changing injury or as a result of a progressive condition, so their ages and capabilities vary widely. We provide round the clock care as needed, access to our therapy team other professionals as required.


End of life care

Our total commitment to care extends right to the final phase of life. We provide palliative care, which includes pain relief and ensuring physical comfort as well as embracing psychological, social and spiritual support for residents and their families.
